Our staff is the engine that generates our ideas and drives our projects. Each person brings a different life experience to the firm and offers individual talents and a unique contribution. We work well together because we respect these individual contributions and we recognize that this diversity creates projects with deeper meaning.

Mark Congleton Arnold, ASLA
 |
Mark is a registered landscape architect with over twenty two years experience in Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. His background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky in Studio Art and Art Education and a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Kentucky. He served as Adjunct Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Kentucky where he taught sophomore and junior level design studios for eight years.
His background in Art has always been a part of his practice. A creative and sculptural approach has been the signature aspect of his work. His projects have been recognized at the national level through ASLA Design Awards and National Publication. He has been responsible for nine Award Winning Projects, two of which have been published by Landscape Architecture Magazine, the premier international journal of Landscape Architecture.

Anthony Parsons, ASLA

Anthony is a registered landscape architect with over eight years experience in construction design and detailing, construction administration and general landscape architectural design. His background includes a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Kentucky where he pursued an interest in landscape architectural design, site planning, design and the development of construction documents, and computer aided design software.
Anthony has continued his interest in computer applications. He assembles each of our computers and he manages our communications and network. Anthony plans on continuing his interest in Contract and Construction Administration in the near future by working towards a Masters Degree in Architecture with an emphasis on Building Construction Technology.

Jocelyn Hinshaw, ASLA

Jocelyn is a registered landscape architect with five years of experience in urban design and landscape architecture. Her background includes a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Ball State University where she was able to pursue a wide range of professional interests including general urban design studies, computer design applications and environmentally sensitive and sustainable design. She has a strong interest in Kentucky's Equine Industry and raises and rides horses on her farm in Harrison County.
Jocelyn is involved in many of the firms master planning projects. One of her contributions has been in the refinement of our streetscape projects. She works very hard to bring to each project the unique story that celebrates place and community. She also brings considerable skill in the three dimensional "visualization" of our work and has recently been responsible for developing a series of exciting before-after images and model images in order to help our clients fully understand the design concepts.

Kristie Altman
 |
Kristie is a graduate of West Virginia University in Morgantown were she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. She also holds a Minor in Agribusiness Management and Rural Economics. In the summer of 2006 she had the opportunity to study in Milan, Italy at the Nuova Accademia Di Belle Arti. While in Europe, she had the opportunity to travel extensively in Italy and France.
While in school she served as WVU President of the Sigma Lamba Alpha, National Landscape Architecture Honor Society and was nominated for an ASLA Student Honor/Merit Award.

Amanda Arnold, Intern

Amanda is a second year student at the University of Kentucky in the School of Design where she is pursuing a Masters Degree in Architecture. She serves as the firms Intern and is the voice behind the telephone. Her duties in the office include assisting in the production of graphics, Photoshop rendering, assisting during the project inventory phase and providing general clerical assistance to our staff.
She has a wide range of interests which includes art, music and sports. She currently is a member of the University of Kentucky Marching Band and can be seen at Commonwealth Stadium on any given Saturday afternoon in the fall.

Darren Ramler, Intern

Darren is a fourth year student at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Landscape Architecture. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. He is a Northern Kentucky native with a strong interest in landscape design. Darren has been assisting Anthony in the office with the production of grading and drainage plans and the development of landscape design concepts.
He will be working full time during the summer of 2007 and plans on returning to student status in the fall where he will complete is undergraduate degree.
