McIlwain + Associates, The Landplan Group, and DesignWORKS form a union of Kentucky’s most highly recognized Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture firms. The individual careers of Morgan McIlwain, ASLA and Mark Congleton Arnold, ASLA and David Lee White, ASLA span over 80 years and have included 16 American Society of Landscape Architects award winning projects in Kentucky and the region. They have completed hundreds of successful projects for clients across Kentucky, the region and the nation. With a staff of 16, the M2D Design Group is the largest Urban Design and Landscape Architecture in Kentucky.

We act as facilitators to assist you in arriving at creative, functional and elegant design solutions. We believe that while past experience is extremely important, each client or project is unique, and requires that the planning and design process be sensitive and responsive to the individual challenges and opportunities that arise.
