Elizabethtown Sports Park
Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Completion: Spring 2012
Elizabethtown Sports Park offers something for everyone. With an indoor and outdoor Tennis facility, four Baseball Fields catering to all ages from Tee ball to Babe Ruth League, two fully developed Football Fields complete with bleachers and Concession and six new Soccer Fields within a fully developed Soccer complex, this is a park designed for activity. The heart of the park is the Billy Branch Creek. The naturalized riparian area makes an excellent buffer to the adjoining neighborhoods and an excellent outdoor classroom. The loop trail takes full advantage of this shady woodland edge and follows the creek along the entire property line. Further the creek edge offers and excellent opportunity to develop a series of naturalized filtration and sediment ponds which will serve to clean the run-off from the sports fields.
As a part of our Master Plan Update for the Elizabethtown Sports Park, we developed detailed designs for the Miracle Field and Environmental Study Areas. Our team further developed concepts for all facilities and all signage associated with the project.
Phase One and Phase Two of this project will be bid in Spring 2010 and the project is scheduled to open in Spring 2012.
